What you’ll find in the calendar:

  • Suggested themes to help focus your People & Culture initiatives

  • Commonly observed days and months of significance in Ontario, Canada

  • Suggested timing for key HR & Talent processes throughout the year

In the design of this year’s People & Culture Calendar, we prioritized a few key themes:

  • Wellness and connection: We built moments for sharing knowledge and resources related to mental health, well-being and connection throughout the year

  • Recognition and celebration: It’s important to take a moment to reflect and re-energize and we’ve suggested some times in the year when we can turn our attention to recognizing and celebrating each other

  • Learning and growth: through thoughtful performance feedback, career conversations, and key talent programs, we mapped out an approach for fostering continuous learning and growth

How you can use the calendar:

The People & Culture Calendar is intended to be a companion to HR and organizational planning to help HR, leaders, and teams design an employee experience that makes sense for the organization and its team members. Depending on your company’s fiscal year and other annual milestones, a different sequence and timing of talent and engagement events may make more sense, and that’s awesome! Feel free to customize this calendar to suit your team and company needs.

Please note that the People & Culture Calendar does not include all days or months of significance observed in Ontario, Canada. The dates highlighted represent major or commonly recognized observances and statutory holidays, but they do not reflect the full breadth of cultural, historical, or community observances.

By omitting any dates, we are not suggesting they are less important or less relevant to the employee experience. We strongly encourage organizations and teams to further explore and incorporate additional observances that align with the diverse identities and needs of their teams.
